Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Depot: LWC Leyland

Main Duties:

  • Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the purpose of the picker packer will be to complete tasks which assist the day-to-day running of the delivery operations for the following day, ensuring all customer orders are picked correctly, stacked correctly and wrapped in a professional manner, picking from 1500 different products ranging from kegs to packaged beers to wines and spirits.
  • Please note, this role will involve manual handling activities.

Key Skills:

  • Adhering to good practice within the warehouse.
  • Responsible for correctly picking orders and placing them in the correct areas for deliveries.
  • Reporting stock issues to the supervisory or stock control team.
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Wear the correct equipment for your job when on site, for example, safety boots, gloves, and the correct high-visibility vest.
  • Assist with ensuring that housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that all new stock delivered must be put away ASAP; all stock must be put away in the correct bin-bay location and match the delivery note received.
  • Assist with stock audits on a weekly basis.
  • Assist in the monthly stock takes at weekends if and when required.
  • Flexible approach to working.
  • Assisting drivers as a mate (2nd man) as and when required.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Being able to prioritise workloads.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good product knowledge.
  • Flexi FLT licence is an advantage.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday (7pm-6am)
