Job Title: Cash Office Administrator
Reports to: Office Manager
Depot: LWC Glamorgan
Main Duties
The administrator will be responsible for general administration duties primarily within the cash office. This will include recording and correctly cashing up all cash, cheques and other payments that arrive into the Depot. They will also be responsible for helping with daily office jobs including the post, daily administration work and may also be required to answer the phones and assist in processing orders.
Key Skills
- Keep track of run sheets and collect and record delivery notes from the drivers.
- Cash Postings β check and record all incoming deliveries.
- Record the account details, the amount of the delivery and the method of payment onto an Excel spreadsheet.
- Responsible for all cash, cheques and other payments which have arrived back from any deliveries as well as those which have been received by Account Managers.
- Accountable for the till and the office safe, ensuring all payments are located in the correct place and that no one who is not able to access them can.
- Ensure that the payments received and the Cash postings spreadsheet balance at the end of every working day.
- Responsible for making sure that at the end of every working day all money, cheques and PDQs are cashed up and stored in the safety deposit box/office safe.
- Prepare the cash for the security transit company to pick up.
- Responsible for certain administration duties within the office, including confirmation, sorting the post, filing, processing orders, etc.
- May require support in order taking and assisting in answering telephones and taking messages.
Knowledge And Experience
Good team work skills.
Use of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and records.
Accuracy when counting money, checking data and keeping records.
Adaptable and confident in learning new systems used to check accounts, previous invoices and placing orders.
Good teamwork skills, with office staff as well as drivers and warehousing staff.
