  • Objectives of the job

Responsible for the ordering of all stock for the site ensuring sufficient stock levels to satisfy changing demands, trends and seasonality.

Take ownership of the stock control function, making it your own and being responsible for the integrity of all stock on site.

Main Duties

  • Order all stock to satisfy customer demand, including the Grey market, whilst keeping stock levels to company standards.
  • Ensure accuracy of goods in checking, the checking of delivery notes against po's, and the accuracy of deliveries being booked onto the system.

Raising any queries with suppliers in a timely manner.

  • Responsible for accurately matching deliveries against invoices, and querying any overcharges.
  • To manage and provide data to minimise obsolete stock.
  • Investigate and report on discrepancies losses and damages.
  • To continuously review methods and seek ways to implement best practice.
  • To evaluate systems and work with Company Distribution Manager to implement best practice.
  • Responsible for controlling best before dates of all stock and minimising write offs.
  • Manage and clear all outstanding pending issues.

  • Use of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and records
  • Full use of ‘Trinity’ system and Cyberquery
  • Good specialist knowledge of the drinks industry and warehousing policies and procedures
  • Fork Lift license an advantage
