Mid September 2026, subject to completion of compliance checks ABOUT LVS ASCOT LVS Ascot is an inclusive independent day and boarding school for pupils aged 4 to 19. The school provides a supportive environment where pupils can thrive academically and personally, and where every member of staff contributes to a safe, welcoming school community. THE ROLE As School Minibus Driver, you will transport pupils safely between home and school on designated local routes. You will be one of the first people pupils see in the morning and one of the last at the end of their day, so a calm, friendly and professional approach is essential. The permanent split shift pattern leaves the middle of the day free and may suit someone looking for regular term time work that fits around other commitments. The role follows the school's published term dates, with holidays and INSET arrangements included. All staff are expected to attend mandatory training. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Driving pupils safely and responsibly on designated school routes. Completing daily passenger registers accurately and following agreed collection and drop off procedures. Checking routes and planning appropriately for roadworks, delays and diversions. Ensuring seat belts are worn and promoting safe, appropriate behaviour on the vehicle. Carrying out daily vehicle checks, including fuel, oil, water, tyres and screen wash. Reporting mechanical, safety, safeguarding or behavioural concerns promptly. Keeping the minibus presentable and following all school, safeguarding and road safety procedures. WHAT YOU'LL NEED A full, clean UK driving licence and the appropriate legal entitlement to drive a minibus. A safe and considerate driving style, with a good knowledge of the Highway Code. Strong spoken and written English, with the confidence to communicate clearly with pupils, parents and colleagues. Excellent punctuality, reliability and personal responsibility. A calm, patient and professional manner around children and young people. A positive attitude towards split shift working, with the ability to work independently and follow established procedures. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE Previous school driving experience is welcome but not essential.
