HR Administrator - Recruitment and Compliance LVS Ascot, Ascot, Berkshire, SL5 8DR Competitive salary Full time | 35 hours per week | 52 weeks per year LVS Ascot is looking for a resilient, adaptable and highly organised HR Administrator to join its busy Human Resources team.

This is an important and varied position requiring someone who can confidently manage competing priorities, remain calm under pressure and maintain exceptional accuracy and confidentiality.

You will need experience working in a fast-paced professional environment, together with a proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of your workload.

About LVS Ascot LVS Ascot is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 4-19.

The school provides a supportive and inspiring environment in which pupils are encouraged to develop academically and personally.

As part of the HR team, you will support employees working across the school’s academic, pastoral, operational and boarding departments.

The role Reporting to the Head of HR, you will provide efficient administrative support across recruitment, safer recruitment compliance, payroll and the full employee lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Advertising vacancies and managing applications across recruitment platforms.
  • Screening applications and supporting managers throughout shortlisting.
  • Organising interviews, preparing interview packs and coordinating arrangements.
  • Providing candidates with a professional and welcoming recruitment experience.
  • Completing and recording pre-employment checks, including references, DBS and overseas checks where applicable.
  • Maintaining the Single Central Register and other safeguarding records.
  • Preparing contracts, offer letters and employment documentation.
  • Coordinating inductions and maintaining probation, training and appraisal records.
  • Updating HR systems and i SAMS accurately and promptly.
  • Monitoring staff absence and supporting return-to-work procedures.
  • Assisting with monthly payroll, including timesheets, starters, leavers and contractual changes.
  • Producing HR reports and maintaining secure filing systems. About you You will be:
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a practical problem-solving approach.
  • Resilient and adaptable, remaining calm and focused when priorities change.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experienced in a busy, fast-paced administrative environment.
  • Accurate and detail-focused, with strong written communication and proofreading skills.
  • Warm, approachable and professional when dealing with candidates and colleagues.
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion.
  • Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

A good standard of education, particularly in English and Maths, is essential.

Previous HR, recruitment, payroll, education or regulated-sector experience would be advantageous.

CIPD Level 3, or working towards the qualification, would also be desirable.

This is a year-round position, providing essential HR support during term time and school holidays.
