Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year
Shifts: Alternating weekly between 6.00am to 2.00pm and 10.00am to 6.00pm
Contract: Full time, permanent

THE ROLE
As Site Porter, you will be a key member of the in house Estates team, helping to coordinate daily porter tasks and supporting deliveries, room setups, site security, events and school vehicles. This is an active, practical role for someone who notices what needs doing, responds calmly to changing priorities and takes pride in completing work properly.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Opening and securing school buildings, gates and facilities in line with school procedures.
- Receiving, recording and distributing post, parcels and deliveries.
- Moving furniture, equipment and supplies safely around the site.
- Preparing rooms and spaces for assemblies, meetings, parents' evenings and major events.
- Responding to facilities requests and helping to prioritise daily porter tasks.
- Supporting reception cover, contractor visits, traffic management and site security.
- Reporting maintenance, safety or security concerns, maintaining accurate records and assisting with school vehicles and wider Estates duties when required.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- A practical and flexible approach, with the ability to manage changing priorities without constant supervision.
- The physical capability to undertake regular manual handling safely.
- Strong spoken and written English, with the confidence to communicate professionally with pupils, parents, visitors, contractors and colleagues.
- Basic computer skills and a sound awareness of health, safety and security.
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Previous school experience would be useful but is not essential. Experience in facilities, logistics, warehousing, hospitality, events, maintenance or another busy service environment may transfer particularly well.
