As a Merchandising Manager on Women categories, you will act as an Ambassador of our most elevated product categories, closely partnering with our retail teams and all Support Office departments. You will elaborate the region strategy to animate these categories, ensuring successful product launches and optimizing performance & profitability. Analytically minded with excellent product sensitivity, you will closely monitor the assortment and placement of products, commercially drive sales across the region and develop bespoke training for our team, nurturing our Women Expert community.
Job responsibilities
- BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Drive and monitor sales performance by organising regular in-store meetings with store Managers, Seniors and Experts, including regional stores.
- Work collaboratively across all departments in Head Office (VM, Press, CD, Events, Supply Chain, Digital, etc.) to drive and develop the business.
- Identify market opportunities through sales analysis and regular store visits; collaborate with Paris Zone Head Office teams to advocate for and address local market needs.
- Ensure efficient and timely communication flow between Paris, local Head Office and the stores.
- Develop & execute relevant action plans for the Product priorities set by the Merch Director/Zone team.
- Develop the product information for the stores, identifying innovative ways to effectively communicate to stores.
- Organize and facilitate regular product clubs with category managers/experts.
- NETWORK MANAGEMENT
- Create opportunities in every single store to build and expand the business including caravans, product pushes & pop ups.
- Review and tailor assortments at store level to maximize local relevance.
- Build and nurture the community of experts, seniors and team managers.
- Create and maintain accessible tools for all retail teams as well as regular refreshes on existing tools.
- Support the HR team with the internal and external recruitment process of key Women Profiles within the network.
- EVENTS AND CLIENTELING SUPPORT
- Work hand in hand with the Clienteling team on recruiting, developing and elevating our Women client's base.
- Support stores and Clienteling teams to prepare product selection by negotiating with EMEA teams.
- Take the lead on High End local events including but not limited: learning, event support, results reporting.
- Position yourself as a key support during local and international events.
- Drive, monitor and follow up on Womens events sales.
- Work on local task force (hosts and experts) for local and international events.
- REPORTING
- Weekly merchandising and commercial activity update.
- Weekly targets for Women categories, best sellers report and any additional reporting.
- Prepare & present business reviews for Zone/Central visits, store presentations and as needed by the Merch Director.
- PRODUCT FEEDBACK/BUYING
- Provide regular product feedback to the Zone team, sharing country best practices with the Zone team.
- Undertake regular competition visits & report on significant actions in the UK to the Zone team.
- Attend any buying sessions (as requested), buying according to the product needs of the country.
- LEARNING
- Support the retail learning team as a point of contact on Women categories.
- Work with the Product Correspondent and Product Intern to prepare product trainings.
- Prepare ad-hoc product trainings according to store needs (caravans, store openings, pop ups, etc).
- PRODUCT TEAM COORDINATION
- Support and grow the team Product Intern, ensuring success in their tasks and focusing on their professional development.
- Contribute towards the coordination and management of the Product Team calendar events/trainings/store visits.
- Take the lead in coordinating transversal product team communications/presentations.
Profile
- Excellent written and communication skills with proven ability to effectively influence stakeholders across various levels within the organisation.
- Extensive analytical skills.
- Comprehensive understanding and grasp of both product and customer service.
- Previous experience working in a Retail Merchandising / Product Merchandising role (beneficial but not essential).
- Strong level of competence in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced organisational and time management skills.
