Maison Francis Kurkdjian is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial and commercially astute Junior Trade Marketing Manager. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to significantly impact the growth and market presence of our prestigious Maison.
Job responsibilities
- Work proactively with the Commercial and Retail team and store groups (including flagships, strategic and new doors) to define, pitch, and implement commercially viable Trade Marketing plans.
- Develop bespoke cross‑channel retail strategies grounded in market insights, designed to enhance brand equity and drive measurable sales growth.
- Negotiate retailer rate cards, win visibility amongst the competitive landscape, and influence internal stakeholders to support your vision.
- Build relationships with stakeholders (retailers, LVMH group, HAVAS) to position Maison Francis Kurkdjian as a strategic partner.
- Make a commercial approach to decision‑making, leveraging market insights and business performance analysis to build strategies based on clear ROI targets.
- Lead in reporting and communication of franchise‑level analytics across stakeholders to measure the success of marketing initiatives and inform future strategies by door.
- Support DTC initiatives to grow brand equity while protecting the lean distribution model.
- Define, negotiate and implement animation plans (promo sites, in‑store visibility, POSM, events, in‑store media, etc.) that are commercially attractive and drive consumer engagement; work closely with VM function to brief projects with clear objectives.
- Ensure all Trade Marketing efforts accelerate sell‑out, maximize ROI, and are deeply consumer‑centric.
- Ensure marketing communication is clear and consistent externally and internally with all stakeholders.
Market Insight & Performance Analysis
- Act as the primary point person for analysing market data (Circana, HAVAS), providing crucial market insights to the wider team and HQ, resulting in data‑driven recommendations.
- Monthly monitoring and rigorous analysis of retailers' performance to proactively adjust and define action plans that drive commercial success; lead communication on launch performance across functions.
- Regularly analyse market trends, competitor activity, and internal sales data to identify opportunities and inform trade marketing strategies.
- Support the Head of Marketing & E‑commerce Manager in partnership with HQ & HAVAS in UK media strategy to build brand awareness and desirability.
Budget and Forecasting
- Oversee budget lines across funds given to trade, media & POSM, ensuring optimal allocation for commercial impact.
- Forecast POSM inbound and outbound for all trade initiatives.
- Manage monthly POSM allocations to stores, ensuring efficient and commercially sound distribution.
- Work collaboratively with the finance team to report investment vs sell‑out, examine ROI for each marketing activity/animation.
Profile
- Highly commercial: strong ability to analyse market trends, identify commercial opportunities and make data‑driven decisions that generate strong ROI and sell‑out.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships internally & externally.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and leadership/self‑starting capabilities with creative and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong project management experience with proven organisational skills, time management, high level of detail orientation and ability to implement and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to influence and work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment with several different departments and across all levels of the organisation.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills (oral and written).
Qualifications
- Graduate (or equivalent).
- 2 years’ experience in a marketing role.
- Prior experience with key retail partners preferable.
- Inherent interest in luxury industry and beauty.
- Second language (French) a plus.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office; proficient in Excel & PowerPoint.
