PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To deliver budgeted wholesale and retail sales in all Flagship accounts through motivating store team to promote Acqua di Parma and Maison Francis Kurkdjian and through recruiting, retaining and developing a best in class counter team population in Consultant doors. To build and maintain strong relationships with store management and store employed beauty advisors to achieve targets as set in line with company objectives. To act as a brand ambassador and ensure effective communication of brand values both internally and externally.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wholesale
    • Achieve gross sales targets, including specific launch objectives for independent stores.
    • Ensure the correct level of stocks and the right assortment of both new products and basic range are in store.
    • Assist in forecasting sales and risk assessment.
  • Retail
    • Prepare, implement and monitor a business plan for all flagship doors to achieve retail targets including specific targets for key launches and sites.
    • Implement launch strategy in line with marketing plans, negotiating sites and promotional activity at store level where appropriate.
    • Assist in allocation of permanent and temporary staffing budgets.
    • Review distribution recommending store openings and closures.
    • Identify space and location opportunities and negotiate locally when possible or recommend optimisation to Key Account Executive and Head of Sales.
    • Ensure store management and store employed Beauty Advisers are fully aware of the maison’s Marketing Plan and are maximising on new launches/events at store level while respecting brand values.
    • Manage and develop a Beauty Consultant.
    • Set retail sales, stock and productivity targets by counter that deliver the company’s budgetary requirements.
    • Motivate and empower the consultant to exceed retail, launch, productivity, and CRM targets employing the maisons sales methods.
    • Review regularly the performance, opportunities and challenges to ensure an appropriate business strategy is applied.
    • Ensure all recruitment, performance management and disciplinary activity follow guidelines.
    • Ensure the counter adheres to Acqua di Parma selling methods, merchandising and personal grooming standards and that counter management tools are implemented.
  • Flagships
    • Ensure assortment is being implemented as per head office guidelines and flag any issues to Key Account Executive and store to guarantee quick corrections when needed.
    • Monitor and recommend stock holding and range assortment changes for the future.
    • Ensure all Key Account initiatives are implemented at store level all the while negotiating additional launch activity whenever possible.

Profile

  • Experience within the retail market of at least 2 years.
  • Genuine affinity with the luxury goods industry.
  • Good understanding of retail principles and practices.
  • Experience of Beauty Consultant and Key Account Management is a plus.
  • Ability to build effective teams.
  • Ability to be both proactive and reactive as required.
  • Proven negotiation and influencing skills to recruit people and secure space in store for activity as required.
  • Strong communication skills – ability to set targets with your team, articulate them and review the performance with your team.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Competent IT skills (Outlook and MS Office).
