POSITION SUMMARY
The Kendo Mobile Makeup Artist is a hybrid role made up of customer facing in store retail sales and field-based travel with the responsibility for the execution of Kendo Brands events and activities in store and Education support in Space NK. Kendo events that bring brand DNA, storytelling and product passion for KENDO Brands to life at store level across Space NK. The role is predominantly based within Space NK but will support our other retailers in line with the needs of the business. As a Brand Ambassador and inspirational coach, the Kendo Mobile Makeup Artist will be instrumental in delivering our brands unique point of difference and driving store sales by exceptional delivery of product knowledge, artistry skills, skincare techniques, service standards and selling behaviors in store supporting events and Local activities. An exciting multi-faceted role, as a brand and product expert they will be able to move seamlessly between creating activity and brand awareness and coaching and motivating the Space NK retail team; inspiring and exciting retailer employed consultants and educating and empowering customers at point of sale. The goal is to extend brand awareness, build brand love and achieve retail sales goals through engagement and storytelling and enhancing Space NK team Artistry skills, retail performance, productivity, and quality of work, bringing the unique DNA of Kendo to life in our market.
Partnering with both the Field Sales and Education Team and Artistry and Events team, they will help identify opportunities to further promote the success of their brands through supporting events and product launches. Combining commerciality with creativity, they take responsibility for and pride in the success of their counters and the development of the teams they work with. No two days are ever the same, and the role will require travel within the UK to spread your wisdom, enthusiasm, and passion for our brands.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
In Store Selling Events
- Achieving Retail Sales Targets - Driving brand KPI’s and supporting sales goal achievement for store events
- Leading In store events and marketing activities – timely reporting of sales results and achievements
- Building strong relationships with Space NK in store management and retail team
- Supporting in store and retailer led events programme to ensure brand standards and guidelines are consistently met
- Working with the field Sales and Education team to conceptualise seasonal events and masterclasses within each store
- Coaching and inspiring Space NK retail team to increase their brand knowledge and skills and retail sales performance
Artistry & Product Expertise
- Supporting the training of Space NK teams on product knowledge, artistry skills and selling behaviours, functioning as a resource and leader, providing product expertise – Face to face & virtually – 1 on 1 and to groups.
- Supporting the creation of video content that is engaging, educational and FUN
- Supporting the Field Team with delivering inspirational in store training sessions that motivate, inspire and enhance artist’s skill base.
- Supporting growth in core brand franchises and new launches across all stores combining brand vision, artistry skills and delivering key product information.
- Deliver best in class customer experience through effective service and selling techniques.
Internal
- Work within Company travel and expense budgets, following established guidelines and procedures
- Additional duties may be required, depending on skill set, market trends, and business needs
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
- Maintain excellent communication with field sales partners, store management and training department through the use of Paperflite online learning system, sales reports and regular updates on all event activity at store level

- Experience in delivering coaching sessions at counter level
- This role is a field-based role and will require flexibility and the ability to travel with overnight stays
- High-level attention to detail and accuracy in execution of work and tasks
- Basic computer skills
- A good understanding and awareness of all social media platforms
- The Ability to create/edit video content would be an advantage
