We are looking for a capable and motivated Electrical Technician to join our Engineering team based in Cardiff. This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting production equipment performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine and preventative maintenance across all production equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Respond efficiently to equipment breakdowns, process changeovers, machine setups, and safety-related actions.
- Support installation qualifications and actively participate in risk assessments, PUWER compliance, and LOTO procedures.
- Work closely with Process Engineering to monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You:
- Completed an apprenticeship or hold an equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or BTEC) in production or manufacturing maintenance, with either a mechanical or electrical background.
- Comfortable working under time pressure, with the ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Highly motivated, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and meeting production deadlines.
Desirable Experience:
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- PLC experience, with the ability to interrogate and modify software (Siemens or Mitsubishi).
