About the Role

Are you a driven sales leader with a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for advisers and their clients? At LV= we’re looking for an experienced Sales Team Manager to lead our high‑performing telephone sales team within our Equity Release division - driving growth, ensuring outstanding adviser support, and cementing our position as a market leader in later‑life solutions.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for the management and development of a motivated telephone sales team, ensuring they consistently deliver against our objectives and agreed KPIs. Working at the heart of our Savings & Retirement distribution strategy, you’ll help shape how LV= partners with intermediaries - ensuring we’re the first choice for quality equity release advice and support.

There will be a requirement for an office presence in our Hitchin office on a regular basis. This is a full time 12-month Fixed Term Contract covering 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Performance & Growth
  • Lead your team to deliver on the Savings & Retirement Sales Plan by empowering them to:
  • Build consistent, trusted relationships with advisers and intermediary firms
  • Expand the number of active supporting firms
  • Increase the breadth of LV=’s Equity Release and broader later‑life products distributed
  • Recruit, Develop & Inspire Talent
  • Take ownership of all aspects of people development, including:
    • Recruiting and retaining high‑performing sales talent
    • Coaching, motivating, and supporting performance
    • Ensuring adherence to best‑practice sales processes and KPIs
    • Driving high quality through call monitoring, reviews, and developmental feedback
    • Embedding strong conduct and customer outcome culture aligned with FCA expectations and LV= quality standards
  • Shape Strategy as Part of the Sales Leadership Team
  • Play an active role in executing our intermediary distribution strategy and planning for the future success of our equity release offering within our Savings & Retirement division.
  • Lead & Deliver Strategic Change
  • Influence and support key initiatives, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within cost, and to quality expectations.
  • Bring Market Insight Back into LV=
  • Use insight from your team’s adviser interactions and competitor knowledge to support product evolution, proposition development, and continuous improvement.
  • About you

    Essential:

    • Proven leadership success in a fast‑paced sales environment
    • Strong experience within the IFA/intermediary market
    • Excellent telephone, communication, and relationship‑building skills
    • Proven ability to develop, coach and inspire telephone sales teams
    • Strong understanding of FCA regulatory frameworks and compliance
    • Demonstrable success in business development within Financial Services, in either Equity Release or Mortgages
    • Knowledge of Savings & Retirement products, particularly equity release
    • Confident user of Microsoft applications
    • Minimum QCF Level 4 qualified

    Desirable:

    • CERER or CEMAP experience or willingness to attain this within the Fixed Term Contract.
