About The Role

To provide governance, support and oversight of the Portfolio, ensuring visibility of spend, status and risks associated with change activity. Provide support and guidance to the Programme & Project Managers, contributing to the successful delivery of change. Linked to our Bournemouth offices, we offer hybrid working but would like to see you in the offices weekly (happy to discuss). This is a 12-month fixed term contract (salaried) which could potentially be extended.

Key Accountabilities

  • Day to day execution of the Programme Management Office (PMO) function, delivering support and guidance to Project and Programme Managers throughout the life cycle of the programme/project.
  • Ensure adherence to strategy, programme objectives and the business change process, strengthening governance and sharing best practice.
  • Provide visibility of progress, status and other KPI’s as deemed appropriate, for reporting purposes and decision making.
  • Ensure financial tracking and management of project spend is accurate and timely.
  • Working with the wider PMO and Business Change teams, identify opportunities to continuously improve ways of working.
  • Delivery of small/medium projects or small pieces of change as agreed.
  • Ensure core Programme Management Office tools and templates are maintained.

Skills & Experience

  • Good understanding of project methodology / life cycle, gained as either a Project Manager or PMO.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Experience of working in a busy environment whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to continuously prioritise and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel spreadsheets.
