We are excited to announce a fantastic, unique opportunity here at LV= for a Direct Marketing Manager to join our team. Within this key role, you’ll be responsible for developing our Advice & Direct customer marketing programme, delivering Protection, Retirement, and Equity Release advice propositions that drive commercial growth, integrated across all our channels. You’ll also lead the management and commercial delivery of our marketing campaigns. You’ll design innovative customer communications, promote the product to our customers, support on quote conversion, engagement, and enhancing the experience of the brand. You’ll make this seamless through strong collaboration with other teams in the Brand, Marketing and Digital space, and by working closely with our Advice & Direct leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, designing and activating customer marketing campaigns.
- Supporting the delivery of strategic marketing objectives and the commercial targets set by the Advice & Direct team.
- Ensuring effective acquisition of customer leads across online and offline media channels, optimising budgets to achieve maximum efficiency and Return On Investment (ROI) targets.
- Managing customer-nurturing processes for quality and value KPI’s that generate high quality referrals into our advice business.
- Effectively developing strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring marketing activity and plans are aligned with business strategies and objectives.
- Providing day-to-day oversight and performance management of marketing campaigns, including planning and reporting, forecasting, campaign analysis, and ongoing optimisation.
- Regularly reviewing our marketing performance across direct channels externally within the competitive landscape, and reporting, reviewing, and improving our marketing plans to ensure we remain competitive.
- Supporting senior stakeholders in developing strategic marketing plans, including proposition development, forecasting, planning and objective setting.
- Collaborating with other teams in LVFS to ensure the effective use of insight, data and digital capabilities within all marketing initiatives, and ensure emerging marketing opportunities (e.g. new media channels and technology) are developed through a ‘test and learn’ approach.
- Ensuring third-party relationships are effectively managed.
- Coaching and developing your team and manage any risks appropriately.
- Ensuring all marketing campaigns meet required internal and external regulatory standards in-line with our company vision.
About you
- Have proven experience of delivering direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns, with evidence of commercial success.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, verbal, and written skills, with the ability to present information effectively to others.
- Be able to make decisions, develop relationships, and inspire senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Have established knowledge of the Financial Services industry, preferably in Life & Pensions (product knowledge of protection, equity release and financial advice solutions would be ideal).
- Understand the competitive landscape, market forces, regulations, and be able to adhere to relevant compliance standards.
- Be interested in digital and traditional marketing practices, with a strong understanding of the promotion and distribution of Financial Services products.
- Have obtained a relevant marketing qualification (IDM or CIM Diploma level).
- Have experience of writing clear customer communications, with the ability to translate technical and complex issues to customers.
- Be knowledgeable on third party supplier and agency management.
- Collaborate with others to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
- Effectively work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
