Do you have experience working within a legal environment? Are you looking to join a firm that offers a supportive and flexible way of working? My client has been established for over 40 years. They are well known in the local area and you will rarely see them advertising due to their retention of staff. Their expertise is in family law, and they also cover residential conveyancing & wills.
Due to increased workload, they are looking for a legal secretary/legal support candidate to join their team on a full time & permanent basis to support the business owner and accounts manager. The role will be split and therefore offers excellent variety.
Main duties:
- Accurately maintain manual and computerised records/management information systems using the firms ALB document management system and rationalising and making template documents available to other staff.
- To use the correct procedures and systems in order to manage cases effectively and in accordance with the company’s standards and legal requirements.
- To comply with all company policies and procedures.
- To assist in the management of caseload by dealing with file related queries either face to face or by telephone.
- Maintain and build good working relationships with colleagues and clients to deliver the service required.
- Work independently scheduling own work to meet business requirements.
- Working in a legal services environment.
- Secretarial support.
- Good organisational ability and accuracy/attention to detail.
- Appropriate level of literacy and numeracy.
- Appropriate level of IT and keyboard skills.
- Ensure clients receive the best possible service at all times.
