Luxury London Media is looking for a Deputy Digital Editor to join its busy editorial team, working across luxurylondon.co.uk. Job Description
Location: Hybrid (two days a week in our London Bridge office)
Contract type: Full-time
The Deputy Digital Editor will take a key role in Luxury London’s digital editorial team, shaping content across our website, social media platforms and newsletters. You should have strong experience as a digital writer, preferably at a national or international luxury lifestyle title, be brimming with ideas and able to turn out sparkling copy to short deadlines. Reporting into the Digital Editorial Director, a strong instinct for a great story, excellent understanding of high-net worth audiences and an ability to multi-task are crucial.
Responsibilities
- Pitch and write editorial content across luxurylondon.co.uk to daily deadlines
- Assist with the creation and scheduling of digital newsletters
- Work with the Social Media Manager and wider editorial team to conceptualise and execute cross-platform content
- Work with the Digital Editorial Director in the future planning of editorial content
- Deputise for the Digital Editorial Director when necessary
- Work with the Digital Editorial Director to develop new content verticals and identify new opportunities for luxurylondon.co.uk, both editorially and commercially
- Attend industry events as necessary; occasional evening work may be required
Requirements
- Minimum four years' experience in a digital editorial environment, preferably for a luxury or lifestyle title
- Excellent written English and a strong eye for a story
- An ability to work efficiently and meticulously to tight deadlines
- A solid understanding of SEO best practice, affiliate marketing and social media
- Highly organised and comfortable working across multiple projects simultaneously
- A good understanding of the luxury sector, with a strong book of contacts and a particular focus on celebrity interviews, culture, travel and lifestyle
- Familiarity with content management systems, particularly WordPress, desirable
- Experience with content and analytics tools, including Klaviyo, ahrefs, Google Analytics and Adobe Suite preferred, although training will be given
- Comfortable acting as a representative for Luxury London both at industry events and with commercial clients
