  • Contracted Hours – 37.5 hrs per week – Monday till Friday Usually working 9:00 till 17:30
  • This is a full time, permanent position based in the Head Office, Team Valley, Gateshead

What is the role?

Joining us as a Project and Insight Analyst you will play a vital part in assisting with gaming operational support and analysis with an emphasis on data projects. You will:

  • Assist the Data and BI Manager in defining, scoping and executing data led projects focusing on new developments
  • Alongside the Data and BI Manager investigate and implement AI analytics solutions within the business
  • Create meaningful, inciteful reports using Luxury Leisure’s preferred BI solution enhancing the storytelling around data
  • Conduct in-depth analysis looking to identify trends in performance and subsequently opportunities for growth and potential risks
  • Engage with stakeholders up to a senior level across the business, leading workshops as required
  • Assist in promoting best practices in data quality, governance and documentation
  • Work with finance to assist in producing predictive forecasting models
  • Assisting in the mentoring and coaching of junior analysts
  • Assist in ensuring the Gaming Team is a value adding service provider
  • Assist in the peer review testing of existing and new reporting to ensure consistency and accuracy

This position requires you to have the following criteria

Essential

  • 4+ years’ experience in an analytical field
  • A degree or appropriate qualification in an analytical or related subject.
  • Commercially minded and able to add an insightful value to the business
  • Significant experience undertaking analysis utilising large complex datasets
  • Experience working with stakeholders throughout a large national business
  • Experience of using a recognised Business Intelligence tool
  • Diligent and thorough with an analytical and numerate outlook and excellent eye for attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills including working with MS office
  • Good administration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail and data quality.
  • Proven ability managing multiple concurrent projects and workstreams with competing deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience managing projects developing new reporting solutions
  • Experience with Tableau an advantage - specific training will be provided
  • SQL, Python, R and Data Modelling skills
  • Database and Data Warehouse experience (understanding rather than developer)
  • Exposure to AI within the analytics field
  • Experience working within a regulated business
