At Admiral, safer gambling is at the heart of what we do. We’re looking for a Safer Gambling Analyst to join our team in Gateshead and play an important role in identifying potential gambling-related harm, turning data into meaningful insight and helping our teams take practical action.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, spotting trends and patterns, asking the right questions and, importantly, communicating their findings to make a real difference.

You’ll work closely with our venues, Operations, Compliance and Safer Gambling teams, using data and frontline insight to identify potential risks, support interventions and help embed a proactive safer gambling culture across our estate.

What will you be doing?

You’ll have a varied role combining data analysis, stakeholder engagement and safer gambling expertise, including:

• Analysing machine and customer data to identify trends, anomalies and potential indicators of gambling-related harm.
• Producing clear, concise and action-focused reports that highlight key risks and recommended interventions.
• Working directly with venue managers and frontline teams to communicate concerns, expectations and required actions.
• Supporting teams to implement effective safer gambling interventions and ensuring actions are followed through.
• Building strong relationships across Operations, Compliance and Safer Gambling teams.
• Supporting venue visits, audits and reviews, with a focus on practical outcomes and continuous improvement.
• Constructively challenging where standards are not being met and escalating significant or repeated concerns where appropriate.
• Using data and frontline insight to contribute to our wider safer gambling strategy, policies and training.
• Helping ensure our safer gambling practices remain aligned with the Gambling Act 2005, LCCP and internal Social Responsibility policies.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is analytical, confident and naturally curious, someone who can look at a set of data and identify what it is telling us but can also turn that insight into a clear conversation and practical action.

You’ll ideally have:

• Strong analytical skills and experience working with large or complex datasets.
• Excellent Excel and reporting skills, with experience using dashboards or internal systems.
• The ability to identify patterns, trends and anomalies and understand what they could mean operationally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels and challenging constructively when required.
• Experience producing clear and accurate reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A good understanding of data quality, integrity and record keeping.
• Knowledge of the Gambling Act 2005 and LCCP, or experience working within a regulated environment.
• An understanding of safer gambling, social responsibility and the indicators of gambling-related harm.
