Role Description
This full-time Travelling Butler role is an on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with frequent travel accompanying the principal or family. The Travelling Butler will oversee daily household operations, including managing schedules, coordinating travel arrangements, packing and unpacking, and ensuring smooth transitions between properties and destinations. Responsibilities include serving meals and refreshments, organizing events and gatherings, supervising other household staff as needed, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and order. The role also involves handling personal requests, liaising with external service providers, and safeguarding confidentiality and privacy at all times. The ideal candidate will deliver attentive, personalized service while adapting to changing itineraries, cultural environments, and client preferences.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in private household, luxury hospitality, or high-end service environments, with a proven track record in butler or similar roles.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to coordinate complex travel plans, manage itineraries, and oversee packing logistics.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented mindset, professionalism, and the ability to interact respectfully with principals, guests, and staff.
- High level of discretion, reliability, and integrity, with demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and respectful handling of sensitive information.
- Ability to work long hours, travel frequently, and adapt to changing schedules, environments, and cultural contexts.
- Fluency in English; additional languages relevant to international travel are an advantage.
- Knowledge of formal service standards, table setting, etiquette, and event support in luxury settings.
- Valid passport and eligibility to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates; prior international travel experience is highly beneficial.
- Professional training or certification in hospitality, household management, or a related field is preferred but not required, depending on experience.
