Moonfleet Manor is now seeking a talented and motivated Children and Family Activities Manager to join their lovely Den team. If you are passionate about planning and delivering fun and stimulating activities for children and families, this is an exciting opportunity to lead your own team and contribute to the success of a luxury hotel known for its welcoming family culture.

At each of our properties, we have a dedicated creche for our smallest guests called The Den. The Den team run complimentary supervised sessions in the Den twice a day for babies of 3 months up to children of 8 years old. Our Den team are creating fun play sessions for the children which allow the adults to have some time just for themselves. The Den team also run family activities where families can have fun, engage in a special activity and spend quality time together.

This is a permanent role, at 40 hours per week over 5 days (including weekends on a rota basis), with an annual salary of £30,725 plus service charge and benefits package.

As Children and Family Activities Manager, your core purpose will be:

  • Lead a dedicated and passionate team: Supported by the Deputy Children and Family Activities Manager, you will lead, train and inspire a team of childcare professionals, developing your team's confidence and skills in childcare as well as departmental administration.
  • Greet and connect with parents: Helping create a welcoming atmosphere, resolving any issues quickly and giving confidence in the quality of our childcare.
  • Manage and adhere to your departmental budget: Ensure that your departmental payroll costs are in line with the hotel budget.
  • Develop and deliver an exciting family activity programme: Design, prepare, organise and help deliver a fun and creative activity programme for families, utilising the Ickworth estate and working alongside other heads of department to create engaging experiences and long-lasting, unique memories for families.
  • Supervise our daily childcare sessions: For babies from 3 months up to 8-year-old children in your care, providing fun, stimulating, interactive and safe play and activities, tailored to children’s age and interests, following Ofsted requirements on the Voluntary Register and LFH standards.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience working within a childcare setting, with experience working with babies to primary school age children.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in childcare or similar related setting.
  • Accredited childcare/playwork qualification Level 2 is essential, Level 3 would be preferable.
  • Creativity and passion for childcare is essential.
  • Experience working with Ofsted is desirable but not essential.
  • Paediatric First aid qualification is desirable but not essential.
