Fowey Hall Hotel, nestled on the picturesque coastline of Cornwall, is a luxury family-friendly hotel renowned for its stunning views, exceptional service, and historical charm.

Role overview

As Spa Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our Spa guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive, able to answer guest queries and showcasing your knowledge of the spa, the facilities and our product range. You may also be expected to support with the team and carry out treatments within the spa from time to time, so previous experience and relevant qualifications will be necessary. This is a permanent role, at 32 hours per week over 5 days (including weekends), with an hourly rate of £12.71 plus service charge and a brilliant benefit package.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Interaction: You will ensure all guests are welcomed to the Spa in an LFH manner, discuss all options available to them and tailor offerings to their needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about all treatments: You will understand (and be fully trained) in all treatments whilst working within the brand guidelines, providing a relaxing and comfortable experience for all guests. You will use your knowledge to make sure guests are fully educated on the treatment they will receive and offer appropriate adaptations at the guests' request.
  • Promoting our products: You will promote and sell our treatments and large range of products whilst ensuring your recommendations are suitable to the guest.
  • Ensure cleanliness standards in the spa: You will support the spa team in cleaning the spa areas and supporting in turning around treatment rooms for the therapists ready for treatments.
  • Make long lasting unique memories: We welcome your charisma and personality and encourage you to create memories and relationships with our guests – especially the littlest ones!

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Spa Therapist within either a destination Spa or within a hotel Spa
  • Spa UK Qualified to NVQ level 3 or ITEC, CIBTAC, CIDESCO (or equivalent in beauty treatments and massage).
  • Charisma, an engaging personality, and a genuine passion for providing outstanding guest service.
  • Ishga training will be provided, but previous experience of Ishga is highly desirable.
  • Passion for Spa and Wellness, you will love to bring your knowledge and experience to the guests
  • High level of attention to detail, you will be knowledgeable about health and safety procedures and take care to ensure you are providing a safe environment for guests.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile for our lovely guests.
