Nestled in the idyllic countryside of Suffolk, the beautiful Ickworth Hotel is now seeking a talented and dedicated Restaurant Manager to join our brilliant team.

Position Overview: As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our restaurants, ensuring the highest standards of service, and contributing to the overall success of the hotel. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in restaurant management, a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, and the ability to lead a team to success. This will be on a fixed term contract from July to December, at 40 hours per week over 5 days (including weekends), with an annual salary of £28,000, plus service charge.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the restaurant team: fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • You will be responsible for hiring and supervising the restaurant team including rota organisation, ensuring payroll is maintained and processed and conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest dining experience: Work alongside the team to create an interactive, attentive and memorable dining experience for all our guests.
  • You will collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining areas and address any guest concerns, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations: Take ownership of budgets and control operational costs, stock and equipment, and implement and uphold health and safety regulations.
  • You will work closely with the hotel management to achieve overall business objectives.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a passion for creating a great team dynamic, where team development is a priority.
  • A candidate who has a great knowledge of current industry trends and food safety standards and loves the hospitality industry as much as we do!
