Salary: £36,400 per annum plus service charge and benefits

About Us: The Ickworth, part of Luxury Family Hotels, is entering an exciting new chapter following its refurbishment. Join us as a Senior Chef de Partie and play your part in shaping the future of this much-loved Suffolk retreat. If you are a dedicated and skilled chef, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a luxury hotel known for its exceptional service and welcoming culture. This is a permanent role, at 48 hours per week (including weekends), with an annual salary of £36,400 plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefit package. Please note, we do not offer visa sponsorship; therefore, only candidates who can demonstrate their right to work in the UK should apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning and overseeing your workstation: Your role will oversee your workstation and alongside the rest of the kitchen, make our menus come alive! Ensure your section is prepared and cleaned down as well as supervise and support junior chefs and be a mentor. Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain a harmonious working environment, fostering effective communication and teamwork.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality kitchen.
  • Leadership and team supervision abilities.
  • Charisma, an engaging personality and a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to keep calm and focussed during busy service, keeping your station clean and tidy throughout.
  • Knowledge of techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards; food hygiene level 2 would be beneficial.
