Research & Assessment Manager – Specialist Network
Luxury Executive is partnering with a boutique private advisory firm to appoint a Research & Assessment Manager to help build its network of trusted specialist advisers and service providers.
The firm supports leading individuals and families across important personal and professional matters. Its specialist network gives clients access to providers whose quality, judgement and approach have been independently assessed.
This newly created role combines investigative research, in-person assessment and long-term relationship building. You will meet prospective providers, seek candid perspectives from people who know their work, and turn incomplete or conflicting evidence into clear, balanced recommendations.
What you will do
- Identify and research prospective specialists in response to client needs and gaps in the network.
- Meet providers and independent sources, building the trust needed for substantive, candid conversations.
- Seek perspectives beyond nominated references, including peers, former colleagues and appropriate client sources, handling enquiries discreetly.
- Assess evidence against agreed criteria covering quality, integrity, client focus and suitability, consulting technical specialists where subject expertise is required.
- Write concise, graded assessments with clear recommendations, supporting evidence and outstanding questions, including recommendations not to proceed.
- Develop relationships with selected providers and help establish practical assessment records and review processes.
What you will bring
- Evidence of evaluating people, advisers or service providers and making recommendations that influenced a real decision.
- Experience conducting substantive interviews, obtaining references or developing independent sources, with the ability to test conflicting accounts.
- Strong analytical ability and clear, balanced writing, distinguishing established facts from interpretation and uncertainty.
- Warmth, curiosity and confidence with senior people, combined with discretion, humility and independent judgement.
- A constructive approach to challenge and feedback, and the willingness to undertake detailed research and follow-up personally.
- An appetite for a field-based role involving regular in-person meetings and visits, with sensitivity to the expectations of private clients.
Relevant backgrounds may include provider-network assessment, corporate intelligence, investigative research, executive search and referencing, private-office work or another role involving careful evaluation of people and organisations.
