Associate Director – Specialist Network & Assessment

London | Full-time | Private Client Advisory

Luxury Executive is conducting a confidential search for a newly created role within a private-client advisory organisation serving ultra-high-net-worth and private clients.

The organisation is building a carefully selected network of specialist advisers and providers across areas including education, health and longevity, relocation, family governance and other complex private-client needs.

This role will sit at the centre of that network.

It is not a business-development or conventional procurement role. The purpose is to identify high-quality specialists, build trusted professional relationships with them and form an independent, evidence-based view on whether they meet the standards required by the organisation and its clients.

The role

You will:

  • Identify and engage prospective specialist advisers and providers across a broad range of private-client needs.
  • Meet prospective specialists and develop a clear understanding of how they operate, make decisions and serve their clients.
  • Look beyond credentials and reputation to assess professional standards, judgement, service quality and suitability.
  • Speak to relevant professional sources where appropriate, including peers, former colleagues, clients and others with direct experience.
  • Evaluate differing perspectives and form clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Build long-term professional relationships with specialists who may become part of the organisation's network.
  • Represent the organisation externally with discretion, professionalism and sound judgement.
  • Maintain clear assessment records so that recommendations are consistent, well supported and useful to colleagues.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will be able to build trust quickly while maintaining independent judgement.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal judgement.
  • Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders, principals and private clients.
  • Excellent listening and interviewing skills.
  • Sound professional judgement and intellectual honesty.
  • Discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Resourcefulness and persistence when identifying relevant information and professional contacts.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to explain the evidence behind a recommendation.
  • A relationship-building approach rather than a transactional or sales-led mindset.
  • An interest in spending meaningful time meeting advisers and specialists in person.
  • The confidence and credibility to represent a high-trust private-client organisation externally.

Relevant backgrounds

There is no single prescribed career path.

Relevant experience could come from:

  • Private office, family office, Chief of Staff or Executive Assistant roles involving significant responsibility and judgement.
  • Executive search, referencing, leadership assessment or advisory.
  • Corporate intelligence, integrity due diligence, investigations or qualitative research.
  • Diplomacy, foreign service or other high-trust professional environments.
  • Private banking, private wealth or other private-client advisory environments.
  • Art advisory, auction houses or specialist businesses serving private clients.
  • Other backgrounds demonstrating strong relationship-building, research, discretion and independent judgement.

What this role is not

This is not:

  • A sales or business-development position.
  • Conventional procurement or vendor management.
  • A networking role measured primarily by the volume of contacts generated.
  • A purely desk-based research position.

The emphasis is on quality of judgement, quality of relationships and the ability to make well-supported recommendations.

Why this opportunity

This is an opportunity to help build an important capability within a developing private-client advisory organisation.

The person appointed will have meaningful influence over how the specialist network is identified, assessed and developed, while becoming an important external representative of the organisation as it grows.

The final title may evolve with the appointment, but the scope is senior, externally facing and judgement-led.

Location

London

The role is built around relationships and in-person interaction, so candidates should be comfortable spending meaningful time meeting advisers, specialists and other professional contacts face to face.

Application

Please apply through LinkedIn.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Luxury Executive for an initial confidential conversation.
