The role
Main responsibilities
- Delivering your own care visits to the same standard as a Care Assistant.
- Supporting less experienced carers with on-shift guidance and problem-solving.
- Carrying out initial visits and introductions for new clients where asked.
- Helping the Field Care Supervisor with spot checks and feedback.
- Flagging concerns about a client's condition or a carer's practice to the office team.
- Supporting with medication queries and care plan questions during your shift.
A day in the role
What a normal shift involves
Your round includes your own visits plus a small number of check-in or support visits where a newer carer needs a hand. You might carry a phone for shift queries and be the person the office calls when something needs sorting on the ground.

What we look for
- Experience in domiciliary or residential care.
- The patience to support colleagues as well as clients.
- Confidence to make a judgement call and communicate it clearly.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
Experience: Previous care experience is essential for this role — typically at least a year as a Care Assistant, with a track record of reliability and good practice.
Qualifications: A Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is valued but not mandatory. What matters most is demonstrated competence and the right temperament.
