As Wearables Category Promoter, you will be responsible for driving the sell-out performance and commercial success of EssilorLuxottica’s Wearables category—our most innovative segment, combining advanced digital and AI-driven technologies with iconic eyewear design. Acting as the in-store specialist and category advocate, you will elevate smart eyewear and smart audio across key iECPs and KA and non-optical channels through high-impact product demonstrations, staff training, merchandising excellence, and direct sales support.
Your mission is to make wearables a priority for both in-store teams and consumers, increasing conversion, accelerating adoption, and strengthening category visibility in-store. Blending sales execution, training, and category leadership, you will play a pivotal commercial role by influencing purchasing decisions, supporting partners on both sell-in and sell-out activities, and delivering a premium consumer experience.
Main responsibilities:
- Sales, Sell-Out & Business Development: Lead sell-in and sell-out activities to achieve and exceed sales targets across the full Wearables portfolio. Contribute directly to sell-out performance in assigned stores, actively influencing conversion through product demonstrations and sales support. Identify and develop commercial opportunities including stock gaps, replenishment needs, upsell opportunities, bundle packs, and cross-category synergies.
- Technical Product Expertise & Training: Act as a technical and product expert on wearable technologies. Deliver regular in-store staff training and knowledge development sessions to improve confidence, storytelling, and closing capability.
- In-Store Activation, Merchandising & Consumer Engagement: Drive in-store excellence through effective merchandising, planogram compliance, demo readiness, and premium brand presentation. Lead and support high-impact product demonstrations and consumer engagement moments.
- Market Intelligence & Category Ambassadorship: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, and consumer behaviour within wearables and connected eyewear. Provide actionable market insights to shape local sales strategies and marketing activations.
- Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate sales, sell-out, replenishment, and customer data within CRM and reporting tools. Track and analyse KPIs including sell-in, sell-out growth, sales replenishment, conversion rate, training coverage, and merchandising compliance.
Key Deliverables:
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and sell-out targets.
- Ensure strong sales replenishment, stock availability, and sell-out performance across assigned accounts.
- Deliver consistent product training, demonstrations, and in-store activations.
- Identify and convert commercial growth opportunities within the territory.
- Provide timely and actionable market and consumer insights.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams on launches, campaigns, and category development.
Core Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in technology, consumer electronics, optical, or healthcare industries.
- Proven track record of selling innovative or technical products.
- Experience in connected devices or wearable technology is a strong plus.
- Fluency in English required; additional EMEA languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory for customer visits, events, and trainings.
