Your role as Regional Medical Science Liaison involves being EssilorLuxottica's medical representative towards optometrists, ophthalmologists, myopia care private clinics, and targeted dispensing opticians and universities in the South West region.
Main Responsibilities:
- Promote Lens and Instruments towards specific targets.
- Provide knowledge and EssilorLuxottica solutions to support appropriate use of lenses and instruments for better patient outcomes.
- Engage in field visits, technical education in practices, medical congress symposiums, and training in universities.
- Involve in medical and technical education with dispensing opticians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists.
- Focus on Stellest and Myopia Control category development and Varilux and presbyopia category development.
- Work closely with local Product Managers, regional Medical Education teams, and Commercial Teams to establish a medical footprint for EssilorLuxottica in the UKI region.
- Be a keynote speaker in local events linked to visual health.
- Support volume growth in your region for Stellest and Varilux in coordination with the local sales leader.
- Establish accounts targeting, field visits, and planning in collaboration with the Commercial Directors and Regional leaders.
- Visit independent practices and key accounts following quarterly priorities.
- Create CPD content and support the delivery of Virtual Classrooms on the Leonardo education platform.
Main requirements:
- Educated as an Optometrist or Dispensing Optician with strong scientific/clinical and medical affairs knowledge, particularly in myopia management.
- Several years of sales experience in practice or in the industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership skills: Active Listening and ability to convince key stakeholders.
- Driven for results and autonomous.
- Market awareness: Working knowledge of the UK and Irish markets, including regulations and medical affairs.
- Outstanding technical knowledge: Understanding and demonstrating the superiority of EssilorLuxottica products and key categories, particularly Stellest and Varilux.
- Business Acumen: Understanding and using information, knowing competitors and market landscape.
- Customer Focus: Collaborating with customers, collecting and acting on customer feedback and their needs.
