Your role: The Field Marketing Representative, UK South & Midlands is responsible for supporting sports and optical customers to sell the Oakley and Bliz brands. You will be a technical expert on all product categories with a focus on eyewear, goggles, and helmets. The position requires training customers on product technologies and selling tips, as well as effectively merchandising products in stores to ensure a premium branded customer experience. Main responsibilities: Conduct technical training and develop customer knowledge of the Oakley and Bliz brands, including eyewear, goggles, prescription, and apparel. Trainings will mainly be in-store but can also be online. The number of participants varies from one-on-one to large groups. Ensure high merchandising standards across accounts, including cabinets, windows, displays, etc. Organise and lead ambassador events presenting the brands and technologies to customers and end consumers. Present new and existing products to stakeholders, demonstrating all Oakley and Bliz products and technology. Promote participation in digital trainings on Leonardo, EssilorLuxottica’s online platform. Explain product details such as optics, impact resistance, and UV protection clearly to customers and Account Managers. Identify and resolve issues related to product optics, frames, and lenses. Maintain strong relationships with accounts and representatives. Develop and manage incentives to increase sell-out of Oakley and Bliz products. Follow up on customer visits to assess training impact, producing quarterly reports for business decision-making. Stay informed about competitors’ activities, new styles, technologies, etc. The role involves representing the Oakley brand at sports and customer events. While part of the marketing team, you will work closely with sales account managers. Please note that this role is predominantly field-based ; 80% of your time will be visiting customers across the South region and Midlands. Main requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities Good computer literacy, especially Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel Effective planning and customer contact strategy implementation Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure Interest and knowledge in competitors’ products and sports brands Team-oriented mindset, supporting internal and external partnerships Passion for creativity and staying updated with technology Experience in Field Marketing or in-store training for sports or optical brands is preferred Interest in sports related to Oakley and Bliz Please note the following about application submission: Working hours are typically 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with potential longer hours and weekend work during busy seasons. Weekend work will be compensated with days off in lieu. This is a field-based role; 80% of your time will involve visiting customers, with occasional attendance at conferences, trade fairs, and exhibitions. Overnight stays may be required depending on your area coverage. The physical demands include driving, walking, standing, lifting, and packing merchandise, with proper techniques advised.
