Project description
Our Client is one of largest TV providers in North America. We are looking for Senior QA Engineer (Automation and Manual) to assess software quality through manual and automated testing. You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- As part of the Scrum Team member you will be responsible for:- Performing manual testing for new features- Performing manual testing for bug fixes (bug fixes validation)- Preparing detailed test evidence for each testing done with attached logs and videos- Covering new or updated features with E2E automated tests using WebdriverIO + Appium + JavaScript/TypeScript- Maintaining existing E2E test scripts and test infrastructure- Keeping pipeline test scripts up to date- Finding and reporting any observed issues in development work in progress as well as in other app areas- Preparing detailed structured bug reports with all proper information required to reproduce it- Setting up and configuring different real test devices- Managing testing features and bug fixes across numerous platforms (TVs, Mobile, Web)- Preparing and updating complex test cases for new features in development- Executing test cases and test suites- Participating weekly in Canonical test run execution on different platforms for critical app areas- Debugging and troubleshooting ongoing issues or problems and proactively seeking their resolution- Participating in Scrum daily meetings (5:30 PM CET)- Actively participating in grooming sessions for new development, plannings and other meetings on the project- Proactively structuring daily work to be able to equally participate in ongoing manual testing activities and E2E automation efforts
SKILLS
Must have
- – Good written/verbal communication skills.- Experience in Manual and Automation testing for iOS, Android, and TV Platforms(i.e., Apple TV, Android TV, Firestick, Roku).- 2-3+ years of experience with automation scripts with JavaScript- Experience in writing test cases- Good problem-solving, and analytical abilities- Good planning, organizational, and follow-up skills.- Familiar with Git, JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins.- Experience with Agile Development.- Development experience with WebdriverIO, Appium, JavaScript, and TypeScript.- Knowledge and use of XCode, Android Studio, Charles Proxy, ADB logcat
Nice to have
– Client development experience with iOS/Android and TV Platforms a plus- knowledge of New Relic is a bonus
