We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in automotive, aerospace/MoD, or similar complex manufacturing environments to be based in Gaydon, UK for a project that drives end‑to‑end delivery for OTA‑enabled onboard systems across structured vehicle programmes.
Responsibilities
- The Project Manager ensures scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met while enabling software-defined vehicle features to be delivered, updated, and validated via secure OTA mechanisms throughout the product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience working within structured programme environments (EMEA/JEA/MLA/SOTA)
- Awareness of milestone gateways
- Understanding of software release processes (and ideally some hardware exposure)
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- High standard of reporting, escalation, and intervention where needed
- AGILE experience is a benefit, but awareness is sufficient
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 processes, ASIL-based design, and ASPICE
The project manager of this project is expected to:
- Use current best engineering practices
- Apply latest available and proven technologies
- Follow recognized international standards
- Implement modern safety, cybersecurity, and quality processes

- You have 5+ years' automotive experience in leading 20+ employee project teams
- You have Software-Over-The-Air experience (SOTA) and combine knowledge of embedded systems, DevOps, Cybersecurity and cloud
- You can orchestrate highly complex, cross-domain, safety-critical software delivery
- You can plan, coordinate, and deliver secure, reliable OTA software update programs across:
- vehicle ECUs
- backend/cloud platforms
- cybersecurity
- homologation & compliance
- production & aftersales
