We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Quantitative Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk to support a major risk transformation programme within a global banking environment. This role will play a key part in delivering risk metrics into FraimWRX and supporting the migration of risk systems and credit risk methodologies.
Working within the Risk Technology team, you will partner with Risk Analytics, Quants, Front Office, Credit Risk and Technology stakeholders to implement and enhance Potential Future Exposure (PFE) and intraday/end-of-day credit risk monitoring capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Business Analyst who understands both risk methodology and technology delivery within complex investment banking environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for analysing, implementing and validating risk solutions supporting Counterparty Credit Risk and PFE calculations across Interest Rate, FX and Credit products. Working closely with quantitative teams, risk stakeholders and technology partners, you will ensure products are accurately mapped within FraimWRX, testing is executed effectively, and solutions are successfully delivered into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a major risk migration programme from a Risk Technology perspective.
- Drive the implementation and enhancement of PFE and credit risk monitoring solutions.
- Gather, document and validate detailed business and functional requirements.
- Analyse and map trade and market data from upstream trading systems into FraimWRX.
- Validate pricing and simulation models using Markit FRA and related risk platforms.
- Partner with Quantitative Risk teams to ensure products are correctly aligned with PFE modelling methodologies.
- Work with business stakeholders to enhance intraday and end-of-day credit risk monitoring.
- Collaborate with project management teams and third-party vendors to define delivery schedules and validate software releases.
- Define testing strategies and execute unit, integration, UAT and end-to-end testing activities.
- Support new product onboarding and validation.
- Ensure successful transition of new processes and controls into production environments.
- Investigate and help resolve production issues and risk-related system challenges.
- Build strong relationships across Risk Technology, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Front Office and Risk Analytics teams.
Experience
- Strong understanding of Counterparty Credit Risk and Potential Future Exposure (PFE).
- Experience delivering risk technology solutions within an investment banking environment.
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills.
- Strong testing experience, including UAT and end-to-end testing.
- Experience working with pricing, simulation or risk calculation engines.
- Knowledge of trade and market data mapping.
- Hands-on experience with FraimWRX (formerly QuIC).
- Experience with Murex.
- Experience working with S&P Global risk calculation platforms.
- Knowledge of quantitative risk models and advanced counterparty credit risk methodologies.
