We are seeking an experienced Loan IQ Product Owner to lead the strategic development, optimisation, and delivery of Loan IQ for one of our largest clients. This role sits at the intersection of business, operations, and technology, owning the product vision, roadmap, and delivery priorities for complex lending platforms and transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will combine deep knowledge of syndicated and bilateral lending operations with strong stakeholder management and agile delivery experience. You will act as the voice of the business, ensuring Loan IQ capabilities are aligned to client objectives, regulatory requirements, operational efficiencies, and long-term platform strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Product Ownership & Strategy
    • Define and maintain the Loan IQ product vision, roadmap, and strategic priorities.
    • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring business value, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities are appropriately balanced.
    • Translate business objectives into clear product features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery outcomes.
    • Prioritise initiatives based on client needs, business benefits, risk reduction, and technical feasibility.
    • Drive continuous improvement of Loan IQ capabilities and supporting lending processes.
  • Business & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Partner with lending operations, front office, middle office, risk, finance, compliance, and technology stakeholders to define business requirements and desired outcomes.
    • Act as the primary functional authority for Loan IQ across programmes and client engagements.
    • Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and solution design discussions.
    • Build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups and provide clear recommendations on product direction and delivery priorities.
    • Communicate roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to senior stakeholders.
  • Delivery Leadership
    • Work closely with development teams, business analysts, architects, testers, and implementation partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
    • Support agile delivery processes, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, user story review, and acceptance testing.
    • Ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements, operational needs, and regulatory obligations.
    • Manage scope, risks, dependencies, and change requests throughout the delivery lifecycle.
    • Oversee production releases, adoption activities, and post-implementation support.
  • Loan IQ Platform & Lending Expertise
    • Provide subject matter expertise across syndicated lending, bilateral lending, agency functions, servicing, settlements, interest processing, fee management, and loan lifecycle events.
    • Support Loan IQ upgrades, enhancements, migrations, integrations, and platform optimisation initiatives.
    • Assess impacts of new products, regulatory changes, and operational requirements on Loan IQ processes and configurations.
    • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to ensure scalable, sustainable platform solutions.
    • Drive standardisation and best practice adoption across lending operations and technology functions.

Skills

  • Must have
    • Extensive experience working with Loan IQ in Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, Functional Lead, or Lending Operations roles.
    • Strong understanding of syndicated loans, bilateral lending, agency services, and end-to-end loan lifecycle management.
    • Proven experience managing product backlogs and delivering technology solutions within agile environments.
    • Experience working across business, operations, technology, and vendor teams.
    • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technology solutions.
  • Nice to have
    • Experience leading Loan IQ implementation, upgrade, migration, or transformation programmes.
    • Knowledge of commercial lending, corporate banking, leveraged finance, private credit, or structured finance products.
    • Familiarity with lending data models, integration architectures, APIs, and reporting solutions.

    • Agile Product Owner, Scrum, SAFe, or related certifications.
