We are seeking a Business Analyst (BA) with subject matter expertise in Compliance processes and systems to work across complex projects for Compliance stakeholders.
This role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to bridge business and technology teams to deliver value-driven solutions in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and compile formal Business Requirements & Functional Specification documents.
- Engage across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring clear communication between business and technology teams.
- Formulate and present proposed solutions to business users.
- Develop testing approaches, compile test plans/test cases, and perform system integration testing.
- Support business users with user acceptance testing and present test results.
- Provide project/workstream status reports and ensure documentation is complete and current.
- Escalate issues/risks to project or line management as needed. Offer subject matter expertise to support TEC initiatives and present solutions across the organization.
- Promote a dynamic, delivery-driven culture that provides responsive resolutions and value-driven solutions.
- Build strong peer networks across the bank to strengthen collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security and regulatory procedures.
- Mandatory Skills
- Proven business analysis experience within a top-tier bank or consultancy.
- Strong understanding of the project lifecycle and experience compiling proposals, scope, requirements, and testing documents.
- Experience in Compliance (data quality, governance, regulatory reporting/monitoring, trade/comms surveillance) or Financial Crime (AML, KYC, sanctions screening).
- Product knowledge in Bonds, Derivatives, Securities Financing, FX, Loans, and Deposits.
- Understanding of core banking functions.
- Experience performing data analysis and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of SQL (querying and examining data).
- Ability to work under pressure and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Previous experience with Front Office Trading platforms (Bloomberg, Apex, Murex, MCO, Saturn) beneficial.
