There are 2 Projects which require a Strong Business Analyst to support:

  • GCOP – The Global Compliance Platform (G-COP) program is a strategic initiative aimed at identifying, selecting, and implementing a unified suite of compliance systems. This platform will enable consistent and effective monitoring of Financial Crimes across the Bank’s international footprint. The Business Analyst will be responsible for a variety of project documentation including authoring Target Operating Models.
  • Kofax Fax upgrade - Technical upgrade of the Kofax application and supporting infrastructure to address End-of-Service-Life (ESoL) requirements. The project will ensure continued support for fax services.

Require an experienced Business Analyst with requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process analysis, and documentation skills. Functional understanding of Kofax (but not crucial) and its business use cases, with the ability to assess current usage, validate requirements, and support future-state design. General technical awareness of application upgrades, infrastructure dependencies, integrations, and governance processes (including TDO reviews), working alongside technical SMEs where required.

Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will provide subject matter expertise and knowledge on Compliance processes and systems and work across complex projects for Compliance stakeholders. Business analysts are typically involved in all phases of the project life cycle, working closely with both the business users and the technology staff facilitating a clear understanding of the solution being delivered. This includes:

  • Performing requirements gathering and compiling formal Business Requirements & Functional Specification, Target Operating Model and Technical Design Overview documents. Seeking and gaining approvals for any such documentation.
  • Covering all aspects of Business Analyst engagement throughout the Project Development Lifecycle including but not limited to:
    • Formulating and presenting proposed solutions to the business users.
    • Formulating testing approaches and compiling test plans and test cases.
    • Performing system integration testing and supporting business users with user acceptance testing.
    • Compiling and presenting test results.
    • Completing project/workstream status reports.
    • Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
    • Escalating issues/risks to project/line management.
    • Providing subject matter expertise to support TEC initiatives, as required e.g. presenting solutions to other parts of the organisation.
    • Promoting a dynamic, delivery driven culture that works alongside business units to provide responsive resolutions and value driven solutions.
    • Complying with relevant security and compliance procedures.
    • Promoting the bank values-led culture which is inclusive and diverse.
    • Building relationships across the bank, establishing a strong peer network and helping to strengthen collaboration.

Skills

Must have:

  • Experience as a Business Analyst in bank/financial services.
  • Able to quickly get up to speed on new subject areas and has excellent documentation skills.

Essential:

  • Business analysis experience working for a top tier bank or consultancy.
  • Experience in Financial Crime (AML, KYC and Sanctions screening) is a must to ensure quick understanding of content and anticipating risks or issues.
  • An understanding of the project life cycle and experience of compiling proposal, scope, requirements and testing documents.
  • Product knowledge incorporating some of the following: Bonds, Derivatives, Securities Financing, FX and Loans and Deposits.
  • A good understanding of the scope and purpose of the core banking functions.
  • Experience performing data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of SQL (able to query and examine data, rather than build solutions).
  • Ability and experience of working under pressure.
  • Ability to liaise with business and IT stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Results & delivery driven, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • A pro-active, motivated approach. The ability to operate with urgency and prioritise work accordingly.
  • Strong decision-making skills, the ability to demonstrate sound judgement.
  • A structured and logical approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Previous experience with Front Office Trading platforms (Bloomberg, Apex, Murex) beneficial.

Education / Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Degree educated and/or equivalent experience.

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience working with compliance driven projects especially Financial Crime.
  • Functional understanding of Kofax.
