Trainee Porter Programme £18,000 – £20,000 per annum (dependent upon age) Weybridge, Surrey KT13 0XQ We are currently looking for individuals who are either starting out in their careers or potentially considering a career change. If you do not hold a driving licence, this can be a costly process. However, our Trainee Porter Programme can offer this to you. At Luxfords of Weybridge we believe that our people are our most important asset, and our trainee programme is a great opportunity to kick-start your career as a removals porter and earn whilst you learn. You will start your journey working as part of a customer facing team where you will be responsible for packing, loading and unloading household effects into customers homes, whilst you complete your porter training programme. Through formal career progression you will work through the ranks with the possibility of progressing onto LGV Driver/Team Leader status. Whilst you are training you can expect to earn between £18,000 – £20,000 per annum. It has never been a better time to join us! The training will be delivered through a blended combination of on-the-job tuition plus off the job workshops, e-learning content and professional discussions. Additional training may be included to ensure you are fully compliant and safe. Entry Requirements and Selection process Right to work in the UK GCECs (or equivalent) in English and Maths grade C or above Be a resident in the UK for at least three years Have a good level of fitness to carry out removal work Be able to speak excellent English Please note you will be asked to complete a DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check on successful selection.
