We are currently looking for individuals who are either starting out in their careers or considering a career change. If you do not hold a driving licence, our Trainee Porter Programme can help you gain the required skills.

At Luxfords of Weybridge we believe that our people are our most important asset. Our trainee programme offers a great opportunity to kick‑start your career as a removals porter and earn while you learn. You will start your journey working as part of a customer‑facing team, responsible for packing, loading and unloading household effects into customers\’ homes, while completing your porter training programme. With formal career progression you may progress to LGV Driver/Team Leader status.

Through a blended combination of on‑the‑job tuition and off‑the‑job workshops, e‑learning and professional discussions, you will receive training that ensures you are fully compliant and safe.

Responsibilities

  • Pack, load and unload household effects for customers.
  • Complete training programme and maintain safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure customer satisfaction.

Entry Requirements & Selection Process

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • GCECs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, grade C or above.
  • Resident in the UK for at least three years.
  • Good level of fitness for removal work.
  • Excellent spoken English.
  • Successful DBS check upon selection.
