We are looking for a motivated and hands‑on individual to join our team as a Process Industry Manufacturing Technician Apprentice at our Manchester site. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin a long‑term career in manufacturing, gaining real workplace experience while studying towards a nationally recognised qualification.
About the Role
As an apprentice, you will learn how to safely operate, maintain, and improve industrial manufacturing processes. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will gain practical skills and technical knowledge to support efficient, high‑quality production. You’ll be involved in day‑to‑day plant operations, helping to ensure equipment runs smoothly, products meet quality standards, and safety remains a top priority.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating and monitoring manufacturing plant equipment
- Supporting the production of high‑quality products
- Identifying and reporting faults, issues, or safety concerns
- Assisting with basic maintenance and equipment checks
- Preparing equipment for maintenance and shutdown activities
- Completing production records and documentation
- Taking part in shift handovers and team communication
- Supporting continuous improvement activities such as 5S and Lean
