About the Role
You will work in the Quality Assurance Department as part of the team controlling and developing the quality management systems under the guidance of the Quality Manager. The role will involve facilitating and managing activities related to the QMS which could include:
- Contract Review
- Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA)
- Non-Conformance Management/concessions
- Product release to Product Specifications on site or with sub-contractors
- Maintaining calibration tools
- Internal Auditing
You will complete or assign actions and ensure associated documentation is up to date as directed by the Quality Manager. You will demonstrate excellent teamwork and accountability, influencing colleagues in other departments. Other tasks will be allocated, as required, from across the Quality and Compliance Team that will be part of the continuing development and improvement of the Quality Initiatives across all arenas. For instance, you may be involved in maintaining the QMS document libraries. You will be based in the Manchester, UK office and the role will require working closely with other departments.
Main Duties
- Work safely and comply with all company HSE requirements
- Work with the Quality and Compliance and Materials QC Departments
- Complete activities related to SAP QM, Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA), Internal Audits, NCP/concessions, ensuring timely completion of actions where attention to detail and accuracy is paramount
- Carry out internal audits and preferably audits of external suppliers and sub contracted processes
- Work with the Company’s Intranet and SharePoint information and document systems
- Liaise with Quality Managers and other third parties over quality related issues
- Work with other departments on quality aspects of operational and continuous improvements
- Any other duties within the post holder’s competence as requested
We are looking for candidates that have:
- Diploma qualification in Engineering, Operations, Material Science, Chemistry, or related Science subject
- Experience of working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience of using MS Office; Excel – Intermediate level e.g. graphs, data analysis; Word, Outlook and PowerPoint – Basic
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Communication with a wide range of people internally and externally – verbally and written
- Must have ability to work well under pressure
- Organizational skills
- Problem Solving skills
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all communications
