Start Your Career in Engineering with Luxfer on one of our engineering apprenticeships. We are looking for between 2 and 4 motivated and hands-on individuals, that have a passion for Engineering to join our team at our Manchester site. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin a long-term career in engineering, gaining real workplace experience while studying towards a nationally recognised qualification.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an apprentice, your aim will be to learn and apply engineering skills to become fully competent to maintain a variety of equipment at our Swinton site. You will be working with and learning a variety of engineering skills including electrical, mechanical, control and instrumentation. You will gain hands-on operational experience by assisting the Maintenance Team in the following:
- Carry out preventative maintenance and routine scheduling servicing in accordance with the manufacturers' recommendations
- Deal with machine breakdowns and effect repairs to ensure minimum downtime
- Troubleshoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessary
- Sourcing required parts in a timely and cost effective manner
- Updating and maintaining accurate information on the company’s CMMS
- Work in a safe manner at all times supporting the company’s Environmental Health and Safety policies
