Reporting into the NET-A-PORTER PR & Global Communications Senior Managers, this exciting role provides critical support to the NET-A-PORTER Global teams.

Based in the London office, in this role the candidate will be generating earned media in a press facing capacity, working across special projects & events and providing key support to the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • To promote the NET-A-PORTER brand through earned media in the UK, EU AND MENA market, via own brand and brand partner initiatives.
  • Secure regular coverage with UK, EU and MENA titles to deliver results expected by the business.

Ensure we are pitching to each market in the right way and are aware of regional marketing moments.

  • To monitor and capture daily UK and international press for coverage on NET-A-PORTER directives.

Daily updates to be shared with the senior team with market breakdown.

Pivot when there is an issue and suggest a plan.

  • To monitor and capture daily articles of interest in relation to competitors and/or key industry news and share with the senior team.
  • Day to day management of the PR Assistant.
  • Work alongside and support the NET-A-PORTER PR Assistant to monitor the brand’s exposure and positioning in the media ensuring all communication and activity are on-brand, and that coverage is shared with the business in a timely manner
  • Work alongside and support the PR Assistant to generate the monthly Global PR coverage report and additional ad hoc reports when required e. g. post-event.
  • Work alongside and support the PR Assistant to ensure the press database and all pitching lists are always accurate including press, social media contacts and substacks.

Get into the customer mindset and think about what they are reading and listening to.

  • Build and maintain strategic press-relations with key media across UK, EU AND MENA titles.
  • Ensure all press image and spokesperson requests are met in a timely manner and every opportunity is followed up with.
  • To come up with creative ways to tell both brand’s stories to media and pitch feature ideas for relevant spokespeople and news stories for key campaigns.
  • Own the creation and distribution of the monthly PR pitch encompassing all key launches, new brands to site and PORTER cover stars.
  • Managing the subscriptions overview for global teams and ensuring these are renewed in a timely manner.
  • Assist on own-brand and co-branded events inclusive of guest dressing, guestlist ideas and on-site support.
  • Work closely with relevant internal teams including the MR PORTER PR team, Influencer & Affiliates team, Editorial team and more.

Who you are

  • 3-5 years PR experience, preferably working with luxury fashion brands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling press releases, pitches, and media statements
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and key media outlets
  • Good understanding of media landscapes, including digital, print, and broadcast
  • Creative thinker who can generate fresh story ideas and campaign angles
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Power Point and Excel
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered a strong advantage for engaging diverse media and international audiences
