From Luxe Talent, an international consultancy specialising in recruitment, selection, and training, we are currently looking for a Store Manager for one of our clients, an international Premium Fashion brand, for their boutique in London.
Store Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall management of the boutique, driving commercial performance, operational excellence, client experience, and team culture.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a large sales team of 30+ people, creating a high-performing, inclusive, creative, and collaborative environment.
- Define and execute mid- and long-term commercial strategies to strengthen the store’s performance, profitability, and competitive positioning.
- Set ambitious business objectives based on market dynamics, competition, external factors, and the brand’s growth priorities.
- Monitor and analyse key retail and commercial KPIs, including conversion, UPT, ATV, stock productivity, sales performance, and profitability.
- Identify performance gaps and translate commercial insights into clear action plans and strategic initiatives.
- Deliver an exceptional premium Customer Experience, ensuring that service reflects the brand’s heritage, craftsmanship, values, and contemporary positioning.
- Develop a strong client-centric culture, encouraging the team to anticipate customer needs and maximise opportunities for clienteling and customer loyalty.
- Encourage innovation across the sales floor, including new approaches to service, storytelling, client engagement, and store events.
- Ensure the team remains commercially agile and responsive to changes in fashion, culture, customer behaviour, and market trends.
- Act as a strategic partner to HQ and regional functions, providing relevant commercial insights and influencing decision-making.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including HR, Commercial, Logistics, Visual Merchandising, and Finance to maximise store performance.
- Oversee all store operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and consistently high execution standards.
- Lead inventory processes, stock management, stock-in-transit tracking, audits, shrinkage investigations, and inventory optimisation.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, speed, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure the effective implementation of Visual Merchandising guidelines, product rotations, and product presentation standards.
- Train and coach the team on global selling standards, clienteling practices, product knowledge, and premium service expectations.
- Lead regular shop-floor coaching sessions, providing constructive feedback and developing selling behaviours aligned with the brand’s positioning.
- Recruit, retain, and develop high-potential talent aligned with the brand’s values, culture, and premium positioning.
- Manage staffing strategy, budgets, rotas, and resource allocation according to traffic patterns and commercial objectives.
- Drive succession planning, leadership development, and capability building within the team.
- Work closely with HR on employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary matters, and employee wellbeing.
- Foster a culture of belonging, psychological safety, diversity, respect, and shared success.
- Support the organisation and execution of exclusive events, marketing activities, and brand activations, acting as a Brand Ambassador and delivering an immersive client experience.
- Extensive experience as a Store Manager, Multi-Site Manager, or Senior Manager within Premium or Luxury Fashion Retail.
- Proven experience managing large teams of 30+ people and complex boutique structures.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, commercial KPIs, business performance, and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to develop and execute commercial strategies and translate business insights into measurable actions.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills, with a track record of developing and retaining talent.
- Experience in organisational development, succession planning, conflict resolution, and building high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence people across different regions, cultures, and levels of seniority.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, combined with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Strong focus on Customer Experience, clienteling, and premium service standards.
- Passion for fashion, creativity, innovation, cultural trends, and contemporary retail.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with commercial reports and retail performance indicators.
- Ability to identify market opportunities, anticipate changes in customer behaviour, and adapt commercial strategies accordingly.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Fluent English; knowledge of additional languages will be considered a plus.
