Luxe Talent, an international recruitment and selection agency specializing in Retail, Fashion, and Luxury, is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for a children’s clothing brand. The company is about to open its first European store in the heart of London.
Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations, team development, and customer service. This role is key in ensuring that the store runs smoothly and that brand standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Store Opening Support
- Assist with pre-opening activities: recruitment, training, merchandising, and store set-up.
- Ensure operational procedures and service standards are fully implemented.
- Support coordination with HQ on timelines, deliveries, and readiness.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Support in supervising, motivating, and coaching the sales team.
- Help maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Lead by example on the shop floor and step in as acting Store Manager when required.
- Customer Experience
- Ensure all customers—especially families and children—receive a warm, engaging, and professional service.
- Resolve customer queries, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
- Maintain high store presentation and visual merchandising standards.
- Sales & Performance
- Contribute to achieving sales targets and KPIs.
- Monitor daily performance and provide feedback to the team.
- Support product rotation, stock management, and visual merchandising.
- Operations & Compliance
- Oversee cash handling, store opening/closing procedures, and daily administration.
- Support stock control, deliveries, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and loss prevention.
Profile & Requirements
- 2–4 years of retail experience, ideally in fashion; children’s wear experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior sales role.
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to take ownership and lead when the Store Manager is not present.
- Fluent in (language); additional languages are an advantage.
