We are currently recruiting for a Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our client's facilities based in Ware. This is a varied, hands-on role combining administrative duties and practical maintenance work, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of office-based tasks and on-site problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g. painting, furniture assembly, fixing fixtures)
- Conduct regular building inspections to identify issues and ensure safety standards are met
- Coordinate and assist external contractors when required
- Ensure all buildings remain clean, safe, and functional
- Support with office moves and room set-ups
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, compliance checks, and service schedules
- Raise and track work orders and purchase requests
- Assist with managing supplier and contractor relationships
- Monitor stock levels of facilities supplies and order when needed
- Support health & safety documentation and reporting
General Support
- Respond to facilities-related queries from staff across all buildings
- Act as a key point of contact for facilities issues
- Help ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
- Support ad-hoc operational tasks as required
About You
- Experience in a facilities, maintenance, or similar role (preferred)
- Practical DIY/handyperson skills
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage workload across multiple sites
- Basic IT skills (e.g. email, spreadsheets)
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently
Desirable
- Knowledge of building compliance and health & safety regulations
- Experience working across multiple sites
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. facilities management, maintenance, or trade skills)
