The predicted salary is between 40000 - 44000 Β£ per year.

This is an established engineering and manufacturing business that supplies specialist technical solutions to a diverse range of commercial and industrial sectors. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products. With a focus on technical excellence, quality, and continuous improvement, the LV Switch Panel Wireman will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring, and testing of low-voltage distribution boards.

  • Read and interpret electrical CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, and layout.
  • Check component quantities and quality before starting each build.
  • Assemble wiring loom kits using a range of cable crimp hand tools.
  • Carry out electrical testing, including continuity and insulation resistance.
  • Identify and rectify wiring or assembly faults through effective troubleshooting.
  • Work independently with limited supervision while collaborating with others.

Previous strong experience in a low-voltage panel building environment is required, along with:

  • Good understanding of electrical systems, components, and panel construction.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and work from technical electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical regulations, including 18th Edition.

This is a workshop-based role with a stable full-time schedule, occasional site work, and a commitment to quality, teamwork, and progression. You will have the chance to build your skills in panel wiring and testing.

39 hours per week, full-time:

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:25 to 16:30 (with lunch from 12:15 to 13:00)

Braintree, Essex (workshop-based role).
