Goods In / Material Handler
We have an exciting opportunity to join a great client of ours as a Goods In / Material Handler , working as part of a busy Production Team.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving goods inwards, stock control, material handling and supporting production operations. You will play an important part in ensuring materials and finished goods are received, stored, prepared and despatched efficiently, maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and productivity.
Shift Pattern:
36 hours per week alternating between the 2 below shifts
Week 1 - Monday to Thursday: 6am - 2pm Friday 6am - 12(noon)
Week 2 - Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm Friday 12(noon) - 6pm.
Duties Include:
Receive, book in and accurately locate incoming stock and materials.
Assist with packing, labelling and preparing finished goods for despatch.
Safely load and unload delivery vehicles.
Maintain accurate stock records and ensure stock levels are effectively managed.
Refill intermediate and raw material containers to support production requirements.
Liaise with Production, Stock Control and other departments to prioritise urgent requirements.
Support the movement and supply of materials to production teams.
Carry out physical handling of stock, including drums and other materials.
Ensure all stock and materials are correctly labelled and stored.
Assist with basic robotic equipment maintenance and report any operational issues.
Identify opportunities to improve stock handling and production processes.
Maintain accurate documentation and records.
Follow all health and safety procedures, reporting any hazards or concerns.
Undertake relevant training, including Dangerous Goods handling where required.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a Goods In, Warehouse, Stock Control or Material Handling role.
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence - Essential.
Experience with Dangerous Goods preferred but not essential
Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
Comfortable working in a physically active role involving manual handling.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
A proactive approach to health and safety and continuous improvement.
