We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Cloud Operations Manager to lead the delivery, operations and maintenance of our Compliance Recording cloud platform as soon as possible.
This unique role is based at our huge,fresh redesigned Office in London.
Your responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 4 operations engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, operational rigor and continuous improvement. Develop KPIs measuring the progress and success of the team
- Professional development: Develop and grow the team, set professional development goals, provide coaching and mentorship
- Resource and sprint planning: Collaborate with product management to resource and capacity manage operations and sprint delivery. Translate business requirements into user stories and technical deliverables for the Azure DevOps backlog
- Automation: Champion Infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD Pipelines and automation first approaches, reducing operational overheads. Identify modernization opportunities to improve testing automation, deployment speed, resiliency, observability and reduce cost
- Cloud Operations: Lead day-to-day operations across a medium-scale Azure environment consisting of >2,500 resources. Ensure the delivery of a high-quality cloud platform and infrastructure services, maintain high availability, security and performance
- Proactive monitoring and actions: Establish proactive monitoring and alerting to maximize system uptime, performance, and cost management
- Responsible for service-levels: Own the cloud infrastructure availability, security, disaster recovery, business continuity and SLA Compliance. Provide regular reports to the executive team
- Incident management: Take the lead in ongoing incidents, managing communications to customers and the executive team. Deliver root cause analysis and drive improvements to prevent recurrence
- Change management: Analyse and review Cloud Operations changes taking responsibility for management approval
- Cost Management: Conduct cost analysis and forecasting to achieve budget adherence. Identify potential cost efficiencies and implement operational improvements to reduce cost
- Security, Compliance & Certifications: Collaborate with security, governance and IT teams to ensure adherence to M365, SOC2 Type II and ISO27001 standards, supporting cloud-related audit requirements, delivering documentation and evidence, while owning elements related to the Compliance Recording platform
- Cross-team collaboration: Build strong working relationships with Customer Success, Product Management, IT, Governance, Security and Architecture teams, working together to deliver process and platform improvements
- Proven experience leading a cloud operations or dev/ops team in a Microsoft Azure environment
- Experience managing cloud, people and operational budgets and providing reporting to executive leadership
- Experience managing monitoring, alerting, observability, and dashboarding platforms (such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, and Azure Log Analytics)
- Experience with incidents, incident management, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, or other tools) for infrastructure automation and continuous deployment
- Hands-on experience delivering cloud operations, DevOps or support for Microsoft Azure environments, including experience with: Windows Server, Linux, Web Application Gateways, Front Door, Virtual Machine scale sets, Firewalls, Azure Entra, Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Key Vaults, Log Analytics, SQL, Recovery Vaults, Network Resources, Security Resources and other Azure services
- Certified with AZ-104
- Strong communication, documentation and organisation skills
Nice to have:
- The following certifications: AZ-500, AZ-305, AZ-400
- Experience with real-time communication platforms, such as Microsoft Teams, Cisco CUCM, Skype for Business, BT Trading, IPC Unigy, Cloud9 or other SIP-Based technologies
- Experience with compliance recording technologies, such as Verint Financial Compliance, Verint 15, Redbox, ASC or NICE
- Played a key role in accreditation, audits or certifications for cloud platforms such as SOC2 Type II, M365, CSA, ISO27001
- Experience with Azure Dev/Ops and Aha!
