Founded in 2010, Luware is a leading SaaS provider specializing in innovative contact center and conversation recording solutions. Our Microsoft-certified solutions are designed to streamline customer interactions. We are looking for a highly motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to support, maintain, and continuously evolve Luware’s SaaS products and services - start as soon as possible.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across our cloud environments. Combining operations expertise with platform engineering practices, you will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and modern CI/CD pipelines to provision, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with Development, Security, and Product teams to ensure our SaaS platforms remain secure, stable, and performant while driving operational excellence through DevOps best practices.
Your responsibilities
- Support and maintain the company's SaaS products and services, including monitoring and responding to alerts, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant systems that enhance the reliability, performance, and availability of services running in Microsoft Azure.
- Develop tools, scripts, and automation to reduce manual effort, improve deployment velocity, and manage cloud infrastructure at scale using Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Bicep, ARM, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Build and maintain telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Grafana to ensure service health, performance, and uptime.
- Participate in on-call rotations, lead response efforts during high-impact incidents, and perform thorough post-mortems to drive learning and system improvements.
- Analyse application and infrastructure telemetry to identify bottlenecks and scalability opportunities. Work with engineering teams to optimize reliability and efficiency across systems.
- Partner with software teams to implement safe deployment practices. Improve release reliability and reduce time-to-resolution through continuous delivery pipelines and release validation tooling.
- Create and maintain the knowledge repository (Dev/ops Wiki) for all systems, processes and tools used to support the platform.
- Use system metrics to model and forecast capacity needs, identifying risks and proactively scaling systems to meet future demand.
- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to identify single points of failure, introduce redundancy, and implement self-healing patterns across the Azure environment.
- Collaborate with security and governance teams to integrate compliance and security practices into infrastructure automation and operations (e.g., support for ISO27001, SOC2).
- Work with product, security, and platform teams to advocate for and embed SRE principles such as SLOs, error budgets, and blameless post-mortems.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT, Telecoms, or equivalent experience.
- Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Teams certification is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Calm and effective under pressure.
- Able to prioritise workload and drive efficient resolutions.
- Strong analytical skills with a systems-thinking mindset; able to break down complex technical problems into manageable steps.
- Deep understanding of Luware SaaS platforms and ITIL-aligned Support & Change Management processes.
- Strong knowledge of SaaS platform operations on Microsoft Azure.
- Solid understanding of Azure-hosted infrastructure and related technologies (Windows Server, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL).
- Technical expertise in Microsoft Teams and Voice applications.
- Good knowledge of cloud automation (CI/CD with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions; IaC with Bicep, Terraform, ARM).
- Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Go).
- Working knowledge of Luware ISMS/QMS processes and SOC controls in scope for SaaS operations.
Our offer
- A fast-paced, international, and collaborative work environment.
- A challenging and diverse role with high autonomy.
- A motivating and supportive team culture where your ideas matter.
- Excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Regular team events and the chance to work from another Luware office for up to a month through our exchange program.
