In this role, you will play a critical part in driving the growth of Lutron’s Intelligent Lighting Systems (ILS) business by equipping dealers and specifiers with the technical resources and expertise to confidently design and implement advanced lighting solutions.
You will gain deep insight into UK and European markets by collaborating with specification sales teams and channel partners across the region, while continuously developing your technical knowledge through training and collaboration with fellow SSE team members.
Responsibilities
- Drive growth in the ILS business by supporting sales opportunities across the Orluna and Ketra products, aligned with business strategies and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure product adoption by equipping dealers, specifiers, and customers with superior technical expertise through training sessions, consulting, and application solution reviews.
- Develop unique product applications to meet unique customer application needs using existing products, integrations, or by collaborating with Engineering and Product Management on potential enhancements.
- Serve as the technical expert by suggesting and documenting solutions for common applications and ensuring sequences of operation meet customer requirements.
- Act as the voice of the customer to influence product development and improve offerings by providing feedback to Product Management and Engineering at both Ketra and Orluna.
- Support key marketing and engagement activities, including tradeshows, roadshows, and the creation of high-quality technical collateral.
- Deliver outstanding in-person training events at Lutron Experience Centres and in the field to strengthen dealer and specifier confidence in ILS solutions.
- Ensure dealer showrooms meet Lutron’s quality standards for ILS solutions, showcasing the full potential of intelligent lighting technologies.
- Travel regularly across the region to support customers, partners, and events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related technical discipline preferred
- Extensive experience in the lighting industry.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to confidently present complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong technical writing abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both externally with customers and internally with colleagues.
- Possess a full UK driving license with willingness to travel inside the UK 50% and within Europe 20%.
- Passionate about technology and design, adaptable to changing markets, and committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
