Lutron–Orluna is seeking a highly motivated Design Engineer to join our team at our Dunstable office. In this role, you will support the Engineering team with the design, development, and enhancement of Orluna’s current and future products. The position expands our engineering capacity, enabling faster project delivery while maintaining high quality standards. It also offers opportunities for technical growth, knowledge sharing, and career development within a design‑focused, growing engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Technical experience in lighting or electronics is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or CREO).
  • Understanding of DFM/DFA principles.
  • Knowledge of thermal management, materials selection, and core mechanical design principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and balance competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaborative working abilities.

Desirable

  • Experience with LED lighting or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., CE, UL).
  • Experience in fast‑paced product development settings.
  • Exposure to project management tools or structured NPD processes.
